The Mississippi Department of Human Services recently provided answers to frequently asked question about their Child Care Payment program in their August 2017 newsletter.
Many of the questions resulted from MLICCI’s ongoing series of Town Hall Meetings across the state for child care providers, parents, and advocates.
MLICCI is co-hosting the series with the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus. The meetings are an opportunity to come and ask questions about the many changes that are happening in the Mississippi Child Care Payment Program. Topics of discussion include:
- What is a standard child care center and how do you apply?
- What is happening with the redetermination process?
- What are the early childhood academies?
- What are other changes happening in the Child Care Payment Program that will impact centers and parents?
DHS representatives will be available to share information and answer your questions.
Please join us for the next meeting Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the Good Deeds Center located 15101 Madison Street, Gulfport, MS.
