The Mississippi Low Income Child Care Initiative recently held its inaugural Child Care Leadership Team meeting in Jackson, Mississippi. The statewide group was created to strengthen and promote improvement to our state’s child care system serving low income working families.
Members of the team gathered for its first meeting at the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in the Craig H. Neilsen auditorium on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, following the state’s public hearing for the 2019-2021 Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Plan for Mississippi.
The meeting included a buffet lunch and guest speaker Dr. Micca Knox, Director of the Early Childhood Academy.
